Okanogan PUD announces two separate power outages to make repairs on the Loup 115kV line and the Malott Tap caused from the recent fire. These outages will affect all Okanogan County Electric Co-Op customers as well as Okanogan County PUD customers in the following areas:

  • The Methow Valley from Carlton to Mazama.
  • Loup Loup Ski Hill.
  • Pleasant Valley area.
  • Town of Malott, south of Malott to the Ophir Grade including the Chiliwist area.
    • Depending on loading conditions, an attempt to switch these customers to alternate substations will be made; however, customers should prepare for an outage.

There will be an 8 hour power outage in the described areas in the daytime of November 11, 2015 that will begin at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning and last until approximately 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Additionally, there will be a 5 hour power outage in the described areas on the evening of November 12, 2015 that will begin at 11:00 p.mThursday night and last until approximately 4:00 a.m. Friday morning.

For all residents using medical equipment requiring electrical power, you will need to make provisions for both the 8 hour and 5 hour power outages.
