After calling Community Net, an Okanogan based ISP providing retail broadband service on the PUD's optical and wireless infrastructure, owner Bill Swazye whent to the East Side Park and installed a wireless transceiver aimed at a PUD wireless access point, and within hours of the call, was providing broadband Internet to the DNR.

This ability of local ISPs to quickly provide broadband to their customers is just one of the many ways in which the PUD broadband project has benefited our communities.
