Effective July 1, 2014, the Okanogan PUD will discontinue hanging door tags (disconnect notices) for customers who do not pay, or respond, upon receiving a payment reminder "Final Notice 1" in the mail.  Instead of hanging door tags, these disconnect notices "Final Notice 2" will be MAILED to the customer's address approximately five days before service will be disconnected.  The "Final Notice 2" will advise the customer of the disconnect date and will be the last notification the customer will receive prior to disconnection of service.  Additionally, as part of this policy change, the PUD will no longer attempt to make phone contact with customers prior to sending the Final Notice 2.

The following fees will go into effect July 1, 2014:

     Process and mail "Final Notice 1"                                                  $10.00
     (First notice mailed advising of delinquent account)     

     Process and mail "Final Notice 2"                                                  $10.00
     (Last notice mailed advising of disconnection
     date and no further contact will be made prior
     to disconnection of service)

     Disconnect account for non-payment                                            $50.00

     Reconnect account after payment is received                              $50.00

     Reconnect account on overtime after payment is received     $200.00

     NSF check fee                                                                                      $15.00
