Customers should be very careful giving credit card numbers over the phone.  Okanogan PUD does make collection calls to customers giving them the option of paying their bill over the phone by credit card.  This collection call only occurs after customers have received a final notice that payment is overdue.  If customers do make a payment by phone, Okanogan PUD will give them a confirmation number.  If customers aren’t sure if a call is from the PUD, he/she should hang up and call PUD Customer Service to verify the information given.

If customers believe they are the target of a potential scam, please report it to both PUD Customer Service and your local law enforcement office.
