Due to national manufacturing and shipping delays, new electrical services requiring a padmount transformer (underground services) could be delayed until Spring 2023. Although the PUD ordered these a year ago, shipment continues to be delayed.

At a national level, public power representatives are requesting funding to bolster production of distribution transformers to combat the low supply.

Other materials for overhead service and other work orders may be currently available but are in an unpredictable market, where prices and delivery estimations are increasing.

Please contact your local PUD office and ask for a distribution engineer if you need more information about your new or upgraded electrical service. We thank you for your patience and understanding!
