If you are a PUD customer and would like to increase the energy efficiency of your business, we have incentive programs available that could help make those projects more affordable.

The Okanogan PUD receives incentive funding from Bonneville Power Administration. Utilities purchase power from BPA with a portion of their rates supporting efficiency programs.

Very important note: Contact Energy Services for pre-approval BEFORE beginning your project.

For businesses, here are programs we currently offer:

  1. Windows. You may receive $18 per square foot of glass replaced when you switch out old wood or metal windows for windows with a U-value of 0.30 or less.
  2. Ductless heat pump. Visit www.goingductless.com to find a qualified installer. All DHPs must be listed on the Commercial BPA Ductless Heat Pump Qualified Products List.
  3. Custom projects. Maybe you are doing a major HVAC overhaul, a kitchen upgrade or the like. If it will increase energy efficiency, it’s worth contacting us to see if we can qualify you for some incentives.

Area schools, hospitals and other government facilities have been able to use these programs, as well as small businesses throughout the county. If you think you might have a project that will qualify, call or email us. You can also get more information on the commercial incentives webpage, https://www.okanoganpud.org/energy-services/commercial-programs.
